Here is the new, revised list of bikes for sale: this may be slightly out of date by the time you get to them, so ring and ask before you get your heart set on any one of them . . . This isn’t all of them, either: we’ve got a couple of projects on the go at any one time that may be able to be adapted to suit you, or any number on the “To Do” pile that you might like the look of, which only (usually) takes a week or two and your say-so to get up and running again. Come down and have a look, and a chat about what you might like and need.
All of our bikes for sale have been fully serviced – which in a bike shop would attract a labour charge of $50 – $200, and have a ‘BAC Bikes’ sticker on them as a guarantee of a follow-up service, just to check they are going OK.
Nearly all bikes have their gear and brake cables replaced with stainless steel inner cables, and new outer cables. If the brake pads are worn they are replaced, as are the wheel bearings, plus anything else that needs it, including chain, cogs and chainrings/cranks.
Wear and tear servicing after that is done at a reduced rate from normal price.

My partner and I are in melbourne for 2 weeks. Looking at a cheap bike for a few days.
With the bikes do you get a helmet and chain or just the bike.
Also when we leave can you trade back in again?
If you could get bakc to us asap that would be much appreciated!
Many thanks
Nikki

Sorry, it’s not what we do. I can’t see the logic in buying a bike for a few days within 2 weeks . . .
You don’t get anything with the bikes unless you ask nicely when you come and see us.
You’d be better off hiring one from someone who does conventional bike hire – such as a bike shop, which we really aren’t. Also, my definition of ‘trade-in’ means you swap it for another bike plus cash adjustment. We rarely do that either. Try HumanPowered or CERES in Brunswick, maybe.

We have a couple of 54cm ones, one ready to go and another half done. Both will be around $130-150. Mark
