Dead tree bike resources pt 1.

Here’s a book that really helped me get my head around bikes when I was starting out, 25-odd years ago.

It’s still in print, in an updated and much glossier form. I think Rob Van Der Plas is one of the best technical writers on this sort of thing. Richard Ballantine’s books have been mostly glossied out of relevance to day-to-day cycling, but his earlier ones are still good for the basics.
